Post-construction cleaning FAQ
Clear boundaries protect new finishes, avoid duplicated work, and make the final cleaning quote easier to compare.
What is post-construction cleaning?
It is the detailed cleaning stage after renovation or construction work is complete. In a residential setting, the final-detail phase typically focuses on settled fine dust, floors, fixtures, cabinets, counters, trim, and other finished surfaces once contractors have removed tools and debris and the home is safe to clean.
When is a renovated home ready for cleaners?
The project should be complete, contractor debris and equipment should be gone, utilities should work, paint and finishes should be cured, and no hazardous material or active airborne dust should remain. If trades still need to cut, sand, drill, or install, schedule cleaning after that work ends.
Do house cleaners remove construction debris?
Not as part of a residential final-detail clean. Lumber, drywall pieces, tile, packaging, heavy rubble, sharp waste, and contractor equipment should be removed by the contractor or a licensed hauling service before a house-cleaning visit is considered.
Is post-construction cleaning the same as deep cleaning?
No. A deep clean addresses household buildup in an occupied home. Post-construction final-detail cleaning addresses fine renovation dust and newly finished surfaces after trades are done. The right scope depends on project completion, dust conditions, materials, and which rooms were affected.
Are interior windows and appliance interiors included?
No. Interior glass or window cleaning and cleaning inside an oven or refrigerator are optional add-ons, not automatic inclusions. Exterior windows, adhesive removal, paint scraping, and specialty restoration should be confirmed with an appropriate specialist.
How is post-construction cleaning priced in Los Angeles?
There is no useful one-price-fits-all answer. A quote should account for square footage, rooms affected, dust level, home occupancy, access, surface sensitivity, project readiness, requested scope, and add-ons. La La Land Cleaning prepares an upfront quote after reviewing the real home and requested work.
